The Tennessee Valley Airgunners had another great outing into Gods creation, fellowshipping and shooting with other airgunners. It was a wonderous day with a perfect combination of sun, wind, and shooting at the Ross Airgun Range. We started out with our normal Hunter Field Target match that consisted of 30 shots on 5 lanes. Our club has grown some over the past year to the point where the five lanes were almost at capacity! Of the 5 lanes on the Hunter course, one lane is a standing lane and one is a kneeling lane, which makes for some hard shots. David Slade had it going on and took the top honors in PCP class with a score of 27 while Harold Rushton shot the high score in piston class with a 21.

The Field Target match followed after some sight-in time and a small break. With 60 shots on 10 lanes, the Field Target match was a bit more challenging with a difficulty of 32 but with a standard deviation of 8. That made for some very difficult shots. The day was absolutely beautiful but the wind was pretty tricky, which added to the difficulty. With only one cold line for a cut reset string, the match moved along very smoothly and rather quickly. At the end of the day, it was a Rushton match with Harold taking Piston class with a 51 and his son Mathew taking PCP class with a 48. It was a great day of shooting and airgunning fellowship. With the US Nationals in June, our next TVA match will be held in July. If you are in the neighborhood, we hope to see you then.
