We shoot both traditional or Target FT and Hunter FT matches at our range. For our Target FT we follow AAFTA rules as described on the AAFTA website at www.aafta.org.
On the Target FT course we offer a Hunter Class that uses all the AAFTA rules with these additionals rules for the Hunter Class:
1. Airguns:
B. Match style airguns (e.g. adjustable cheekpiece, adjustable buttplate, etc.) are not allowed. Any disputed airgun will be decided by the match director.
B. Optical sights with adjustable objectives may be adjusted so that the target is in focus but shall not be used for rangefinding.
C. The windage and elevation turrets on an optical sight shall not be adjusted during the match (no clicking allowed).
B. No artificial support for the body may be used (e.g., no shooting jackets, straps, harnesses, etc.).
C. A rifle sling may be used but must be attached to the rifle at two points.
D. Other support for the rifle normally used for hunting purposes may be used (e.g. monopods, bipods, shooting sticks, tree stump, log, etc) so long as the support contacts the rifle at only one point. Any disputed support devices will be decided by the match director.
