Airgun Hiatus

With the holiday season over I can get back to my airgunning activities. This holiday season was particularly busy since my step daughter was getting married the weekend before Christmas. She is a school teacher so she wanted to work the wedding around her class schedule. She lives in Nashville and decided to have the wedding at the Oprymills Resort. The wedding was quite beautiful and the Oprymills facility was really spectacular with all the Christmas decorations.

After this wedding, my wife’s dad decided to get married on December 23rd in Knoxville so we had to travel there for a few days to attend that wedding. It was a very busy Christmas season and most of the month was spent getting ready for or attending the weddings and Christmas. I don’t think I fired a single pellet down range the entire month. I also didn’t spend much time on-line with my email or website. My blog definitely didn’t see any action either.

I finally got out yesterday to actually shoot and do some testing of some pellets in my field target rifles. I also had some time on Saturday to work on yet another target design and did a little testing with it. I will write more about that later. I got myself a CAD package for Christmas. It is called TurboCad Deluxe and boy is it neat. With it I am able to layout my targets to scale and model them in 3D before I make them. I did this with the target design I made on Saturday and everything worked just as designed on paper. I have a few other design revisions I want to try with it as well.

With the start of 2006, the holiday hecticness is over and I am looking forward to getting back to my airgunning and have several projects and product tests in the works. It should be another fun year of airgunning.
