Back in action

My wife and I recently sold my home in order to build a new home of our own. We moved out of my old house at the beginning of October and into a temporary rental house until our house is finished. Our new house is going to be great, we are putting in a three car garage so that I can have a workbench area in the third car stall. On top of that, I will have a door leading out the rear of the garage through which I will be able to shoot. I will have 40 yards to the rear of my property and I will be able to shoot anytime and in any weather. We won't have any neighbors to the right side of our house or to the rear. In fact, the land behind our house is owned by a very nice gentleman who has told me he would allow me to shoot out onto his property. I have struck up a friendship with him and his wife and I am looking forward to getting to know them more in the future.
It has been two months since we moved into the rental house and I finally had time to get my garage workbench organized. I made a target holder a few years back. It has a place to hold two paper targets and six different shelves that can hold a variety of fun things to shoot at. It also has a variety of spinners. During the move I noticed that it was needing some attention so today I took it into the garage and got to working on it. I brushed all the surface rust off it and got the welder out to weld a couple of horizontal stabilizers to the bottom so that it won't rock forward/backward so much. I gave it a coat of paint and it was ready to go out into the backyard.
It was really nice to have a workbench again. Being in a rental house I won't have a lot of house projects to worry about so I should be able to spend a bit more time on shooting and makin stuff. My first project will be to finish a target stock for my TX200 MkI. It is nearly done but I changed the buttpad to an Anschutz butthook so I am going to have to chop off 1/2" from the butt and reshape the backend again. Now that I have my workbench sorted out it should be a snap to finish it and some of the other projects I have in mind.
