Nice Weather

We had a really nice day today. The temperature got up to 75 degrees which is a bit unusual for Huntsville in February. I have been fighting a sinus infection for about two months now and I haven't shot much because of it. I just haven't felt like going out in the cold to shoot. Well, today I finally felt like shooting again.

I went out into the back yard after work with my TX200 MkI and started shooting. Wow, was I out of shape. I was finding it hard to hold steady and my follow through wasn't the greatest. It felt good to be back behind the trigger again even though my form wasn't up to snuff. I shot for about 1/2 hour with the TX, alternating shooting at my field targets, paper and other fun targets.

After attempting a few standing shots, I went inside and got my FWB300 universal and took it out back for a few shots. I hadn't shot it since early last fall and it was fun to get it out and plink a bit with it. Like my Walther LGR, it is just a joy to shoot. The last time I had shot it I sighted it in for 50 yards so it took me a few shots to get it zeroed for 25 yards again. I still have open sight on it right now but I may go ahead and scope it. It was a fun night of fun shooting and a great way to relax after a long day.
